WATCH: Don Lemon Gets Trolled During Livestream While Complaining About Trump
Don Lemon, once a staple of prime-time news and a leading voice on CNN, has found himself navigating new terrain in the digital world. On a recent TikTok livestream, the former anchor was unexpectedly trolled while addressing his thoughts on former President Donald Trump.
The moment was a striking contrast to Lemon’s polished television career. Lemon’s TikTok livestream, a platform known for its unfiltered and sometimes chaotic interactions, was meant to offer a candid take on Trump’s political comeback and its implications for American democracy.
Instead, the broadcast was interrupted by a series of pranks from viewers, including a widely shared incident where someone placed a digital turkey filter over his face.
“So all the guys, he’s like, ‘hey, I’m going to reward the guys that helped to get me in,'” Lemon said of Trump. “I’m going to get all of the wokeness and… the softness… I don’t know if he’s going to have an LGBTQ ban, but I’m getting that. He’s getting that out of the military.”

The trolling episode drew immediate comparisons to Michael Cohen, Trump’s former fixer-turned-critic, who has also turned to TikTok to reach an audience outside traditional media.
Social media users were quick to note the irony of Lemon, who departed Twitter (now rebranded as “X”) with a dramatic announcement earlier this week, pivoting to TikTok only to face similar antics.
“How the mighty have fallen,” one user joked, sharing a clip of the turkey incident with the caption.

Why is this becoming the natural path for failed celebs. It’s like panhandling for rich people..

The whole situation has that modern irony: trying to make a statement on one platform only to get instantly swept up in playful internet antics somewhere else…
