Legendary daytime television host Phil “Dr. Phil” McGraw delivered a sharp criticism of President Biden’s immigration policies while visiting the southern border earlier this week.
According to footage obtained by Rebel News, Dr. Phil traveled to Eagle Pass, Texas in order to survey the situation. Eagle Pass has been the site of a months-long standoff between the Biden Administration and Texas, which escalated last month after the Supreme Court ruled that federal agents can cut fencing along the Rio Grande River.
Texas has refused to comply with the administration’s demands and has instead doubled down on efforts to deter and detain illegal aliens with physical barriers and enforcement from the Texas National Guard.
“Texas law enforcement has seized over 454 million lethal doses of fentanyl during this quarter mission. Governor Abbott has said that the federal government has broken the pacts between the United States federal government and the states. Governor Abbott says President Biden has refused to enforce those laws and has even violated them,” Dr. Phil, who grew up in North Texas, said while speaking in front of a section of the border wall.
“The result is a humanitarian crisis unlike anything we’ve seen before, smashing records for illegal immigration by wasting taxpayer dollars to tear open Texas border, to tear open Texas border security infrastructure. Governor Abbott says President Biden has enticed tens of thousands of illegal immigrants away from 28 legal entry points along the Texas border and into the dangerous and deadly waters of the Rio Grande,” he continued. “According to the Department of Homeland Security, since President Biden took office, more than 6 million illegal immigrants have crossed Texas’ southern border in just three years. That’s more than the population of 33 different states in this country.”
The longtime talk show host went on to criticize the “border czar,” Vice President Kamala Harris, by name. “And what about our Vice President, Kamala Harris? Did you know she’s our country’s immigration czar? Guess how many times she’s been to the border? Guess how many times she’s been to the border? Once,” he said.
McGraw, 73, is set to return to television with Dr. Phil Primetime later this month. The new program will be filmed in front of a live studio audience in Texas and will mainly focus on news and entertainment, according to a report from TMZ.
