WATCH: Keith Olbermann Goes On Crazed Rant Calling For “Civil War” Against Red States
After years of the leftists in Congress going after Trump supporters for wandering around in the Capitol without permission and calling that trespassing an “insurrection,” a far-left political commentator is now openly calling for “economic civil war” with the right.
Radical leftist Keith Olbermann went ballistic in an incendiary video posted to Twitter in which he called for an “economic civil war” to starve red states into submission to the left.
In the tweet in which he posted the video, Olbermann also said “We are OWNED by guns. Only one thing will change that. “We must have Economic Civil War. Blue States must financially starve the Red States, the Gun Lobby, the GOP, the Death Lobby, and the crooked judiciary into submission. “NOW.” Watch that video here:

"NOW."

As you can hear in the clip, Olbermann said much the same thing in the video as he did in the caption, saying:
“We are owned by guns. And therefore there is only one way to stop the mass shootings. It is to suffocate the businesses that make billions of dollars in profits off guns to destroy the gun lobby, the death lobby and the Republican Party that defends those lobbies and those businesses.
“And the only way to do that is an economic Civil War. The blue states have all the money, they must starve the red states into submission or another 600,000 Americans will be murdered in the next 10 to 12 years. That and more on the Wednesday Countdown podcast available now wherever you podcast.”
How exactly the leftist states would win such an economic civil war is unclear. Red states, though not home to the massive technology companies, are home to far more important industries. Namely, much of America’s oil and natural gas production comes from red states like Louisiana and Texas, states also home to the refineries needed for making oil usable. Even more importantly, perhaps, is the solidly red midwest. It’s one of the breadbaskets of the world and without the cheap food coming from it the blue states would likely be in serious trouble.
Further, without the military recruits from red states, how would Olbermann and his cronies win when the civil war he calls for went from an economic matter to a shooting war? Is Admiral Rachel Levine going to lead them to victory?
In any case, Olbermann isn’t the only leftist to call for Civil War as the culture war heats up. Leftist actress Kathy Griffin did so as well before the 2022 midterms, posting “If you don’t want a Civil War, vote for Democrats in November. If you do want Civil War, vote Republican.”
Senator Ted Cruz, responding to her, tweeted “This is WRONG. Crazy Hollywood Leftie threatening “Civil War” if Dems don’t win. Sadly, this is today’s Left: angry, hateful & violent.”
