WATCH: Jasmine Crockett Breaks Down In Tears In Bizarre MSNBC Segment
U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) broke down in tears after MSNBC’s Katie Phang showered her with praise for “defending democracy” and other platitudes in a bizarre segment.
Crockett — who has become a rockstar on the left for her total lack of class and incoherent ramblings about the Trump Administration — went back to the well once again during an appearance on the “Katie Phang Show.” This time around, the far-left congresswoman said Trump was a “bigger criminal” than suspected gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was deported to his native El Salvador on March 15.
An immigration judge previously found that Abrego Garcia was a member of the ultra-violent MS-13 street gang, which is deeply involved in drug dealing, human trafficking, murder and a host of additional crimes in both the U.S. and El Salvador. The Trump Administration has also released documents confirming that Abrego Garcia has ties with senior members of an MS-13 set in Maryland.
Still, Crockett argued that the criminal conviction secured by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg — which is currently being appealed — amounts to far more severe criminal conduct than MS-13.
“As far as I’m concerned, he’s a lot less criminal than the person is in the White House,” Crockett rambled. “The last time I checked, he didn’t have any criminal convictions. I don’t think he has any outstanding cases, versus the guy that still had cases pending when he was sworn in on January 20 and also has 34 felony convictions.”
The congresswoman continued, “So listen, I don’t want to hear anything from the Republican Party about how they try to keep us safe when their fearless leader is actually the biggest criminal thus far that we have seen.”
Phang was blown away by the latest boilerplate anti-Trump rant, so much so that she decided to play a clip from her first ever appearance on the show before heaping praise upon her.
“This is the second to the last episode of the show. Congresswoman, I wanted to thank you for always getting up and early and delivering it. But I also want to say thank you for your continuing support for democracy. It’s definitely something that you have made your brand and it’s the integrity that you’re bringing,” Phang said. “And I’m grateful for you always. We’ll miss you.”
Crockett was brought to tear’s by the outgoing host’s glowing praise, who stressed that she is “not going anywhere.”
“Thank you for being here and getting us started today. I always appreciate you,” Phang signed off, at which point Crockett was unable to speak from crying.
MSNBC announced that the “Katie Phang Show” would be cancelled later this month as part of wider network re-structuring. The show, which started in 2022, was cancelled alongside Joy Reid’s long-running “The Reid Out” program earlier this year.
The shakeup comes about three months after Comcast announced that it will be merging a number of cable assets, including news assets like MSNBC and CNBC, into a separate publicly traded company. The new company will include the USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and the Golf Channel. Comcast will retain a number of NBCUniversal assets, including the Peacock streaming service, the NBC broadcast network, NBC News and the Bravo cable channel.
“The transaction will be structured as a tax-free spin to existing shareholders,” Comcast President Mike Cavanagh said in an internal memo. “While we don’t have a precise timetable for completing the transition, we are estimating that it will take approximately a year.”
