Shortly before Joe Biden’s State of the Union address on Tuesday, First Lady Jill Biden and Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff set the internet on fire when they kissed each other on the lips.

“This is the last thing I expected to see tonight,” I tweeted at the time of the incident.

During an interview with Univision host Edwin Pitti, Harris was asked about the viral kiss.

“To end this interview, I have to ask you about something else with regard to yesterday’s State of the Union address,” Pitti said.

“There is a viral video online from the moment when your husband received a kiss from the First Lady upon her arrival to the House chamber,” he continued.

“What is your reaction to the video, which many say they have to gossip about?” Pitti asked.

“I haven’t watched the video,” Harris claimed.

She then pivoted by talking about anti-Semitism.

“I don’t know, but I do now that first lady and the second gentleman are working arduously with what we are doing with my husband against anti-Semitism – very important,” Harris said. “He fights against anti-Semitism but also against hatred towards immigrants, and sadly, we’ve seen that in our country.”

Harris seemed somewhat upset that she was asked this question on live air considering she quickly changed the topic to anti-Semitism.

On Wednesday, podcast host Megyn Kelly spoke out about the kiss, noting how “gross” the act was between Jill Biden and Kamala Harris’ husband.

“People should not be mouth kissing ever if it’s not your husband or your spouse,” Kelly said. “Here is Kamala’s husband and Joe Biden’s wife kissing on the mouth, I’m sorry, secondhand uncomfortable…”

“Not ever,” she continued. “Don’t kiss me on my mouth. Don’t do it. In fact, don’t kiss me, and probably don’t hug me, either. Just like the wave or a pat, I’ll take that.”

“Definitely no mouth kissing,” Kelly said as she played a photo of the viral kiss. “Gross. I don’t know where your mouth’s been, and I don’t want to know.”
