‘Is She Drunk?’: Kamala’s Post-Election Video Statement Goes Viral For All The Wrong Reasons
A post-election video statement from Vice President Kamala Harris is going viral for all the wrong reasons, with social media users questioning whether she was drunk due to her tired and worn down look.
Harris joined her former running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, for a final campaign video call with staffers and donors on Tuesday. “I am so grateful for you. And I’m so thankful to you. I’m thankful for your love of our country and your willingness to put the work into it. I’m thankful for the faith that you put in me and Governor Walz and our team. And I am thankful because I know your character is such that you’re not gonna get knocked down. And you’re in this fight. And you’re in it for all the right reasons,” the vice president told listeners.

She went on to thank supporters and staffers for their hard work despite an unfavorable outcome for the campaign. “Think about the coalition that we built, and we were so intentional about that. You would hear me talk about it all the time, being a daughter of parents who are active in the civil rights movement. I know and believe that the best movements that are about progress in our country mean that it’s leaders that you, that we are dedicated to the coalition, to bringing people together that seemingly have nothing in common, but have everything in common,” she added.
In a head-scratching moment, Harris seemingly bragged about how the campaign raised $1.5 billion in such a short window. Despite the massive fundraising haul — which far outpaced the Trump Campaign and the RNC — the Harris-Walz Campaign ended up with $20 million in debt thanks to lavish spending on pre-election concerts and $100,000 single use podcast sets.
“Because of your efforts, get this, we raised an historic $1.4 billion, almost $1.5 billion from grassroots supporters alone, the most in presidential campaign history,” she said.
The vice president went on to tell listeners that the fight is far from over, employing one of her signature “word salads” in the process.
“I’m saying that in the darkest moments, people lose faith in that. Are there people out there that feel that way? And you reminded people that, yes, there are, and there are a lot of us. And that strength cannot be taken from us. That is our strength, it cannot be taken from us. The light of America’s promise will burn bright as long as we never give up and we keep fighting. And the fight that fueled our campaign, a fight for freedom and opportunity, that did not end on November 5th. A fight for the dignity of all people receive the promise of America? No. A fight that is about a fight for the ideals of our nation, the ideals that reflect the promise of America, that fight’s not over. So look, we still have a lot to fight for, okay?”
The rambling phone call soon went viral on social media, with many social media users noting that Harris looks tired after the campaign’s final sprint. Others said she looked intoxicated.

The campaign video call has led to more finger pointing among Democrats, with one DNC official complaining about its “self congratulatory” tone.
“She actually held two calls, one for her top donors and one for grassroots. I was speaking and texting with fellow attendees in the call, and we were amazed by how self-congratulatory the tone was …. The call was about 20, 30 minutes,” Democratic National Committee National Finance Committee member Lindy Li told News Nation. “I don’t recall anyone taking responsibility for the fact that we spent about $2 billion across the super PAC and the campaign and came up so significantly short. We lost seven swing states.”
The campaign’s debt has led to layoffs at the DNC and allied political action committees as Democrats struggle to pay off the campaign debt. The DNC has since launched a GoFundMe campaign that asks supporters to pay it off for them.
