WATCH: Karoline Leavitt Goes Nuclear On The Media Right To Their Faces
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt took on members of the mainstream media on Tuesday, reprimanding them for rooting against America and President Donald Trump. In the clip, Leavitt also takes the press to task for trying to spin the administration’s wins into losses.
The video, along with transcriptions of the comments from Leavitt, was shared in a post from journalist Eric Daugherty on X.
“The so-called experts in the foreign policy establishment – whose record is nothing but endless wars, trillions of wasted taxpayer dollars, and dead Americans – have the nerve to try and lecture President Trump, who has solved 7 global conflicts in seven months – about peace,” Leavitt told reporters during a press conference.
“One thing that has absolutely not changed is the media’s negative and downright false coverage of President Trump and his foreign policy accomplishments! From the beginning of this entire process, much of the left-wing media has been actively rooting against the President of the United States in the pursuit of peace,” she continued.
Leavitt then ripped the media for making claims that the president was “beholden to Russia for even agreeing to have a face-to-face discussion” with Russian President Vladimir Putin within the U.S.
She then shamed the press for being “aghast” that the president would “treat another world leader like a world leader.”
And the tongue lashing wasn’t finished there. Leavitt went on to say, “The media relentlessly attacked President Trump and claimed he suffered a, quote, ‘major defeat’ for not immediately emerging with a final agreement. Even though he said heading into that meeting that this was a meeting to listen and to understand how to move the ball forward.”
“All weekend following those historic U.S.-Russia bilateral talks, we listened to clueless pundits on television trying but FAILING to claim that the president had ‘failed,'” the press secretary finished.

Leavitt’s scathing address criticizes the media for a deep bias against the president, which has alienated viewers. A poll from Gallup supports that claim with actual data. Trust in the mainstream media is at an all-time low. Only 32 percent of Americans think they can trust what the media tells them on a daily basis.
Conservative critics say they have been pointing out the media bias for years now. The way the media attempts to spin Trump’s policy moves as failures and defeats, despite evidence that shows the opposite, only further causes public skepticism, they say.
