On Monday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blamed Republicans for the school shooting that took place in Nashville.

Six people, including three students, were killed in a school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee. The shooter, believed to be a teenage female, was armed with at least two assault-type rifles and a handgun.

KJP said, “How many more children have to be murdered before Republicans in Congress will step up and act to pass the assault weapons ban?”

Biden has proposed expanding background checks, banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and incentivizing states to pass “red flag” laws. Many have opposed it citing concerns of its infringement on US citizens and their constitutional rights.
