Marjorie Taylor Greene is often times clumped together in the inner circle of Republicans who oppose “swamp leadership” in Washington D.C. and Congress so many took her support for McCarthy as a shock.

Now Greene is speaking out about the decision that she made to vote for McCarthy early on even with evidence of her speaking with Donald Trump on the phone while making the decision.

Marjorie Taylor Greene explained that she was trying to put Congressman Rosendale on the phone with the former President but he refused which made former President Donald Trump “angry.”

She even said that that Congressman yelled at her for trying to put him on the phone with Donald Trump.

Greene ultimately touted the mostly unison votes of the 201 votes that had stayed in support of Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House. She ultimately claimed that McCarthy has “a great agenda.” Watch those comments in the video below:

Green went on to address past disputes with Kevin McCarthy and how they handled those very public and abrasive disputes.

Not only that, she went on to say that she started to meet with McCarthy and got to “know him better” and that was a big reason for her decision.

MTG also encouraged her fellow members of the House Freedom Caucus to increase their dialogue with McCarthy in hopes to produce a much better and more effective agenda for the next term of Congress. Check out what she said in that clip below:
