WATCH: McCarthy Reveals “Bill Number One” When Congress Gets Back, House Erupts With Applause

After Kevin McCarthy was voted in as Speaker of the House late on Friday evening, he gave a speech that seemed to resonate well with the Republican side of the House Chamber. One line that made Republicans erupt with applause is when McCarthy revealed “Bill number one” when Congress gets back to work.

“When we come back, our very first bill will repeal the funding for 87,000 new IRS agents,” he said. WATCH BELOW:

“You see, we believe should be to help you, not go after you,” McCarthy added.

McCarthy also addressed Minority Leaders Hakeem Jeffries with a pretty hilarious joke:
