WATCH: ‘Morning Joe’ Host Rages At Trump Supporters In Election Day Blow-Up
Election Day tensions hit an all-time high on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” as co-host Joe Scarborough delivered an unrestrained tirade aimed squarely at Trump supporters. Scarborough’s latest diatribe painted a grim picture of American voters, venting frustration with those who continue to support Donald Trump despite the heated political landscape.
Scarborough’s monologue didn’t stop at Trump’s supporters, however. He blasted the former president himself, recycling past statements attributed to Trump and raising the specter of dictatorship. “We still have an electorate, 70 million plus, that will be voting for a man who said he was going to terminate the constitution,” Scarborough claimed.
Without immediately diving into his complaints about Trump’s policies or positions, Scarborough led with an emotional critique, framing Trump voters as “uninformed” and influenced by “Russian-style disinformation.” This isn’t the first time Scarborough has turned Morning Joe into a platform to air grievances against Trump’s supporters, but on Election Day, his remarks struck a new chord.
“They’ll go, ‘He didn’t say that,’” Scarborough fumed, mimicking his perception of Trump supporters. “Then you say, ‘Well, here’s the quote,’ and they’ll go, ‘He didn’t mean that.’” Scarborough suggested that this alleged denial of reality reflects a deeper problem he believes extends beyond Trump himself, accusing supporters of abandoning American principles. According to Scarborough, concepts like “checks and balances,” “judicial review,” and “the rule of law” are allegedly foreign to Trump’s base.

The longtime MSNBC host pulled no punches in his indictment, accusing Trump supporters of “a radical devaluing of truth.” With an impassioned tone, he warned of an electorate that he claims is either oblivious to or actively ignoring threats to the U.S. Constitution, highlighting what he views as a severe erosion in civics education among millions of Americans. “How do we as a nation – even post-Trump – reach those Americans who apparently didn’t go to civics class?” he asked.
Nearly 80 million Americans have already made their voices heard through early and mail-in voting. Poll closures will begin at 7 p.m. EST in six states. Trump’s campaign is strategically concentrating on key battleground states, eyeing a significant foothold in the Sun Belt regions—Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina. He is slightly ahead in these states, which could serve as a robust foundation for his electoral path to victory.
Beyond the Sun Belt, Trump’s team is also working to regain footing in at least one of the states from the so-called “Blue Wall”—Pennsylvania, Michigan, or Wisconsin. These states, crucial to his 2016 victory, flipped to the Democrats in 2020. Pennsylvania is especially critical, with its 19 electoral votes, and has become a focal point of his campaign activities.
Additionally, Trump’s strategy includes targeting Nevada and its 6 electoral votes, a smaller yet potentially pivotal prize in a close race. A combination of victories in the Sun Belt, a Blue Wall state like Pennsylvania, and Nevada could propel Trump to meet or exceed the 270 electoral vote threshold needed to win.
