WATCH: MSNBC Attempts To Blame Republicans For Anti-ICE Shooting With Outrageous Mental Gymnastics

During a recent segment on left-wing MSNBC, a former official with the FBI, Christopher O’Leary, made the suggestion that the new trend of leftist terrorists scrawling messages on bullets is actually inspired by right-wingers.

O’Leary was chatting about the Wednesday morning shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas, Texas, where a sniper opened fire, killing two detainees and injuring a third before turning the gun on himself after being confronted by law enforcement.

The shooter in this case was strongly against ICE and their mission to detain illegal aliens and deport them back to their countries of origin, which points to an obvious left-wing slant on the issue.

In order to support his thesis, O’Leary said, “Brenton Tarrant, a fierce white supremacist and neo Nazi wrote all over his weapon and his rounds.”

“So to see this coming from potentially the other side of the political spectrum is a little strange,” the former FBI official continued. “If you are trying to carry out some kind of message countering more extreme right-wing stuff, I don’t know why you would use a tactic of a famous white supremacist.”

Individuals in the comment section of a post featuring a clip of the interview pointed out that Tarrant didn’t write any slogans on his ammunition, only on the guns, so the information being shared by O’Leary is inaccurate.

Adding to that, the user pointed out that this tactic of writing slogans on bullets was also done by the strangely popular Luigi Mangione, who shot and killed the CEO of a major insurance agency. He’s since been treated like a folk hero among the left.

The shooter from the incident in Dallas has been identified as Joshua Jahn, 29, who has a known history of leftist leanings. Just a few days before the shooting, California Gov. Gavin Newsom helped stoke the fires of anti-ICE sentiment by signing a bill known as the “No Secret Police Act.”

The legislation bans law enforcement officers, including ICE agents, from wearing protective face coverings that help conceal their identities for protection from targeted attacks.

Officials at Homeland Security have slammed the bill for increasing hostilities against federal immigration enforcement, which could further embolden individuals like Jahn.

Many political experts and conservatives are demanding that news networks like MSNBC be held accountable for pushing propaganda rather than focusing on accurate reporting. Such voices are calling attention to how misrepresenting facts and purposefully pushing misinformation undermines public trust and safety, placing lives in danger.
