WATCH: MTG Leaves ’60 Minutes’ Host Speechless When She Says Democrats Are Groomers

Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14) was featured in CBS News’ latest installment of “60 Minutes” Sunday, and a clip from the interview showing Greene calling Democrats pedophiles has gone viral on Twitter.

The fiery exchange began when longtime program host Leslie Stahl confronted Greene about her previous statements calling Democrats groomers and pedophiles.

When Stahl confronted Greene about the lawmaker’s famous “Democrats are a party of pedophiles” quote, MTG did not back down.

“I would definitely say so,” Greene said, adding, “They support grooming children.”

“Why would you say that?” Stahl asked in response.

“Democrats support – even Joe Biden the President himself – supports children being sexualized and having transgender surgeries,” the firebrand Republican shot back.

“Sexualizing children is what pedophiles do to children.”

Stahl was then left speechless by Greene, saying, “Wow.”

Stahl then asked MTG if she would consider toning down her rhetoric, to which Greene had a brilliant response.

“I would ask the same question to the other side. Because all they’ve done is call me names and insult me nonstop since I’ve been here,” Greene said.

“They call me racist. They call me antisemitic, which is not true. I’m not calling anyone names. I’m calling out the truth basically.”

Despite the fiery nature of the interview, Greene tweeted praise for Stahl and the CBS team Saturday prior to the show’s release.

“It was an honor to spend a few days with the legendary icon Leslie Stahl and talented crew @60Minutes,” Greene wrote.

“Leslie is a trailblazer for women in journalism. And while we may disagree on some issues, I respect her greatly.”
