Democratic Congressman Hank Johnson is facing backlash after making damaging comments directed towards Republicans who have showed support for former President Donald Trump.
Monday’s hearing was intended to be focused around lowering crime rates, which appear to be highest in the liberal cities around the country.
Johnson attempted to smear the GOP saying, “The Republican witnesses who have used their time to criticize District Attorney Bragg have served as props in a MAGA Broadway production.”
Members of the audience started to ridicule Johnson, so much so that the committee had to take a break.
The Congressman’s statement didn’t end there; once the committee resumed he further insulted Republicans by labeling them as “jack-booted thugs” for their stance on gun control.
Instead of focusing on solutions to address the issues at hand, Johnson chose to attack his political opponents. Such behavior only serves to further divide an already polarized political landscape.

I could say something about Johnson, but there are two problems with what I would say: First, my mom taught me, "Son, if you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything." Second, what I would say will get me kicked off twitter permanently.
