In a recent exchange between White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and reporters, questions were raised about President Biden’s reluctance to take questions from the press.
When asked why the President has not held a press conference, KJP claimed that the President “always loves to take your questions, shouted questions.”
One reporter pushed back, rightfully explaining that not taking questions from the press is not the norm, and that reporters usually get an opportunity to ask questions during press conferences.
KJP defended the President’s record, stating that he has taken ‘more shouted questions’ than any previous President. Maybe reporters wouldn’t shout if Biden actually answered questions from time to time?
Many reporters have been very critical of Biden and his administration for being too restrictive in its handling of the media. Tensions continue to rise between The White House and the press.
