WATCH: ‘Squad’ Rep. Loses It During House Hearing, Accuses DOGE Of ‘Killing’ People

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), a member of the far-left “Squad,” had a complete meltdown during a House hearing, bizarrely accusing the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) of “killing people.”

Crockett shouted Wednesday as she attempted to link the cost-cutting federal initiative to everything from conspiracy theories to farmers losing their livelihoods. “Instead, we’re pushing conspiracy theories, and some of them are killing people,” she claimed.

“It’s the same thing that we have coming out of DOGE. It’s the reason that people are dying. It’s the reason that farmers are losing their farms because we continue to peddle conspiracy theories,” Crockett ranted.

DOGE—launched by the second Trump administration to reduce federal spending—has drawn the ire of Democrats for eliminating waste, slashing unnecessary government contracts, and removing bloated diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs.

Crockett, however, didn’t stop at her bizarre claims about DOGE. She also accused former President Donald Trump of cozying up to Russian President Vladimir Putin, warning that “we may be heading towards the next world war because we have a president that wants to pal around with Putin and wants to do everything to make him feel good, including lying about who invaded who.”

Crockett has emerged as a prominent Democrat actively opposing initiatives by the Trump administration and Musk. Her critiques focus particularly on Musk’s leadership in the campaign to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government. Crockett holds the position of vice ranking member on the House Oversight Committee and is also a member of the Oversight subcommittee on DOGE.

On Tuesday, Crockett conveyed a succinct message to Musk. When questioned by a journalist outside the Capitol about what she would say to Musk if given the chance, Crockett’s response was direct.

“F— off,” she said.

Over the weekend, Musk implemented a new policy requiring all federal employees to summarize their weekly activities in a bulleted list. Musk explained that this measure aims to enhance transparency and efficiency within the federal government, warning that non-compliance might be considered a resignation.

However, he later adjusted the directive, offering employees a second chance to comply.

Crockett has been vocal on X, formerly Twitter, about her disagreements with the Trump administration’s foreign policy, particularly regarding Russia. She strongly disapproved of President Trump’s interactions with Russian President Vladimir Putin and his stance on the Russia-Ukraine war.

“Let me make this abundantly clear as this administration keeps embarrassing & endangering us on all levels! I VEHEMENTLY DISAGREE with standing with RUSSIA! I am still standing with Ukraine, President Zelenskyy, & the Ukrainian People! FULL STOP!” she wrote on X.

A recent Harvard CAPS-Harris poll has shown that a majority of Americans are in favor of cutting wasteful government spending. According to the findings, most voters support the idea of a dedicated government agency focused on efficiency. The poll, which uses a non probability sampling method, also indicated that DOGE is perceived as playing a significant role in facilitating substantial reductions in government expenditure.
