WATCH: Trump Hilariously Blisters Swalwell In New Video; “He Fell Desperately In Love With A Chinese Spy”
In a video posted on Monday, Donald Trump roasted Eric Swalwell for being kicked off the intelligence committee. In December 2020, it was reported that Swalwell, a Democrat from California, had a close relationship with a suspected Chinese spy named Fang Fang (also known as Christine Fang) who had reportedly targeted up-and-coming politicians in the Bay Area for several years.
Swalwell was one of several politicians who reportedly had interactions with Fang, but he has been the most high-profile figure linked to her.
Trump hilariously said, “Little respected, lightweight Representative Eric Swalwell was just kicked off the Intelligence Committee for reasons of integrity and lack of intelligence, and for having the poor judgment of dating and falling desperately in love with a Chinese spy…”

According to reports, Fang posed as a student and fundraiser while she built relationships with various Bay Area politicians, including Swalwell, between 2011 and 2015. Swalwell reportedly met Fang at a political event in 2012, when he was a member of the Dublin City Council, and she later helped him fundraise during his 2014 congressional campaign.
After Fang’s activities were uncovered, Swalwell stated that he had cooperated with the FBI’s investigation into Fang and had not disclosed any classified information to her. He also stated that he had not been aware of Fang’s alleged ties to the Chinese government and that he had cut off contact with her in 2015 after being informed by the FBI of her activities.
