WATCH: Trump Receives Thunderous Welcome At Yankee Stadium
In a twist that nobody saw coming in one of the most liberal cities in the country, New York, President Donald Trump was given a hero’s welcome during a Yankees game he attended on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
As soon as the president appeared on the Jumbotron in Yankee Stadium, the crowd exploded into loud cheers and chants of “USA! USA!” While enjoying the game, Trump was protected by a bulletproof shield following the devastating political assassination of conservative pundit Charlie Kirk earlier this week.
According to the Western Journal, the crowd went crazy again during the game when Trump was seen giving a salute during the national anthem. Just after the game started, Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge crushed a pitch for a home run.
The Yankees went on to secure a victory against the Detroit Tigers, winning 9-3.
Both the president and his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, were in NYC on Thursday to commemorate the anniversary of 9/11, following the death of Charlie Kirk on the previous day.
“In the quarter of a century since those acts of mass murder, 9/11 family members have felt the weight of missed birthdays and empty bedrooms, journals left unfinished, and dreams left unfulfilled,” the president went on to say, according to the report. “To every member that still feels a void in every day of your lives, the First Lady and I unite with you in sorrow — and today, as one nation, we renew our sacred vow that we will never forget September 11, 2001.”
Conservative pundits have pointed out that in light of such a somber week, with the division of our nation worse than it has been in recent history, it is critical that the president displays strength. According to experts, that is exactly what he’s doing.

Some noted that conservatives must follow Trump’s example and not allow the actions of Kirk’s assassin to yield to fear, continuing to push forward in fighting for freedom and sharing conservative values, especially on college campuses.
A few folks on social media have made the claim that President Trump was also booed at the stadium, but that has been brushed off by conservatives who acknowledge that it was in response to all the cheers he received, marking it down as nothing more than liberals in the crowd desiring to show their disrespect for the commander-in-chief.
