WATCH: Trump Says He Is Inclined To Pardon Many J6 Defendants If Re-Elected
Former President Donald Trump told CNN’s Kaitlin Collins that he is willing to pardon “many” January 6 defendants if re-elected, drawing a round of applause from the crowd.
“I am inclined to pardon many of them,” Trump said when asked by a voter if he planned on pardoning January 6 defendants. “I can’t say for every single one because a couple of them probably got out of control.”
The former president then pointed to continuous rioting from far-left groups such as Antifa and Black Lives Matter. “When you look at Antifa what they’ve done to Portland, you look at Antifa and what they did to Minneapolis, so many other places, look at what they did to Seattle,” Trump said. “And BLM, many people were killed.”

Trump then said that America is currently operating under a two-tiered justice system, adding that his supporters are being persecuted. “You have two standards of justice in this country, and what they’ve done…. because what they’ve done to so many people is nothing, and that what they’ve done to these people, they’ve persecuted these people,” the nation’s 45th president said.
“Yeah my answer is I am most likely, if I get in, I would say that it would be a large portion of them,” Trump said, drawing applause. “And it would be very early on.”
“They’re living in hell,” Trump said of his supporters charged in connection with the January 6 Capitol protests, many of whom have received lengthy prison sentences for simple trespassing. “And they’re policemen, firemen, and they’re soldiers, and they’re carpenters and electricians and they’re great people, many of them are great people.”
