In a powerful and inspiring address on Wednesday, former President Donald Trump outlined his grand vision for the United States’ upcoming 250th birthday, promising “an entire year of festivities” to celebrate the monumental milestone.

“Three years from now, the United States will celebrate the biggest and most important milestone in our country’s history,” Trump stated. “Two hundred and fifty years of American independence. What a great country. And we have to keep it that way.”

Central to Trump’s vision is the creation of a White House task force titled ‘Salute to America 250.’ “On day one, I will convene a White House task force called Salute to America 250,” said Trump. “It will be responsible for coordinating with state and local governments to ensure not just one day of celebration, but an entire year of festivities across the nation, starting on Memorial Day 2025 and continuing through July 4th, 2026.”

A noteworthy component of this plan is the ‘Great American State Fair,’ a year-long exhibition featuring pavilions from all 50 states. Trump expressed his intention to work with all 50 governors, regardless of their political affiliation, to make this event a reality.

“The Great American State Fair will showcase the glory of every state in the Union, promote pride in our history, and put forth innovative visions for America’s future,” he explained. In a show of faith in American unity and hospitality, Trump hopes that the renowned Iowa State Fairgrounds will be the venue for this nationwide celebration.

Simultaneously, Trump plans to hold sporting contests for high school athletes from all around the country, termed the ‘Patriot Games,’ as a demonstration of the best of American skills, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit.

Additionally, the former President intends to reinstate the National Garden of American Heroes, announcing his intention to “sign an executive order to bring back our National Garden of American Heroes, which we want to build very badly, commission artists for the first 100 statues to populate this new statuary park honoring the greatest Americans of all time.”

In an invitation of global solidarity, Trump promised to invite leaders and citizens of nations worldwide to visit the United States in honor of the 250th anniversary. “America’s tourist industry should get ready because we’re going to have a lot of people coming. It will be a record year,” he said.

Emphasizing the spiritual underpinnings of the nation, Trump pledged to call upon America’s religious communities to pray for the nation and its people as they prepare for this momentous occasion. “From the very beginning, America has been a country sustained and strengthened by prayer and by our communities of faith,” he said. As we approach this significant milestone in our history, Trump’s words remind us of our shared heritage and inspire a hopeful vision for America’s future.
