WATCH: White House Releases Powerful Tribute To Charlie Kirk
The White House on Friday released a tear-jerking tribute to conservative icon Charlie Kirk just a few hours after his killer was apprehended in Utah.
The video features images of Kirk attending Turning Point USA events overlayed over quotes and uplifting music. “Only in America is it possible to say, you know what, I don’t like the way the country is going, and to do something about it. That risk, take that leap of faith, stay involved, trust God, and act obediently,” Kirk says.
“Romans 12, two verse, that God will use all things, all things, for good for those who love him. It’s bigger than you. I want you to remember that. It is bigger than you. It’s bigger than me. You aren’t here to make somebody else’s life better in pursuit of liberty and freedom.”
The touching tribute also depicts a number of the most high-profile speaking events of Kirk’s career, including the Republican National Convention last year. “You know what gives me strength? Hundreds of thousands of you that say, Charlie, keep going.”
It ends with an affirmation of Kirk’s devout Christian faith. “First Corinthians five and 15. So that’s all pretty amazing evidence, not just intra -biblical evidence, but extra -biblical evidence that Jesus Christ was a real person. He lived a perfect life. He was crucified, died, and rose on the third day, and he is Lord and God of all.”
President Donald Trump has announced that he will be attending Kirk’s funeral, which is expected to be held sometime next week. Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Second Lady Usha Vance, escorted Kirk’s casket to his home in Phoenix, Arizona aboard Air Force Two.
Kirk’s wife, Erika, paid tribute to her husband in a powerful speech delivered in the studio from which he streamed the “Charlie Kirk Show” every single day.
“Two days ago, my husband went to see the face of his Savior and his God. And one of the final conversations that he had on this earth, my husband witnessed for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Now and for all eternity he will wear the glorious crown of a martyr,” she said.
