During her Wednesday broadcast of “The View,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg referred to Jesus while trying to defend President Joe Biden for not visiting the U.S.-Mexico border during his visit to Arizona.
The comparison came as the the hosts were discussing complaints by Republicans about how Biden failed to visit the border.
Here was the beginning of the exchange:

The Daily Wire reports:
Goldberg began with a clip of Biden telling a reporter — who asked why he wasn’t going to visit the actual border while in Arizona — that there were “more important things” going on than the unchecked influx of illegal immigrants.
Arguing that Republicans should just be happy that Biden was in the state to promote American jobs, Goldberg claimed that they “miss the point.”

“Did the economy matter or not?” Sara Haines questioned.
“It did matter, and we would have found out about what you just said AND he could have gone to the border just to shut them up,” Joy Behar said.
Griffin agreed, arguing that it would have been good to show that Biden was not ignoring an important issue.
Co-host Sunny Hostin whined that the move would have just been “theater,” saying that Biden didn’t need to visit the border because there were more important things to work on. Behar wasn’t having it as she argued that the optics were important.
“He could have gone,” Goldberg interrupted as she went on to compare Biden to Jesus. “He can’t walk on all the water all the time.”
