Even the Supreme Court is tired of the Vice President’s relentless whining regarding the decision to overturn federal abortion. At this point, it can be deduced that Kamala Harris has nothing better to do with her time as she keeps attacking the legitimacy of the Supreme Court’s decision.
An interview she had with NBC News’s “Meet the Press” was aired on Sunday. Harris continuously took jabs at the Supreme Court, asserting that the body was incapable of interpreting the law fairly. Supposedly, Harris believes that she would do a better job at being fair compared to the Supreme Court of Law. The Vice President claimed on the Sunday show that the Court’s ruling in the Dobbs vs Jackson Women’s Health Organization was unjust.
She said to the host, “I think this is an activist court. We had an established right for almost half a century, which is the right of women to make decisions about their own body as an extension of what we have decided to be, the privacy rights to which we are all entitled, and this Court took that constitutional right away.”

The Vice President added, “We are suffering as a nation because of it. That causes me great concern about the integrity of the Court overall, especially as someone who– my life was inspired by people like Thurgood Marshall, the work on that Court of Earl Warren to bring a unanimous court to pass Brown v. Board of Education. This is the Court that once sat Earl Warren and Thurgood Marshall, Sandra Day O’Connor. It’s a very different court.”
Harris went on to urge the Senate to approve a bill that is currently in the works. This bill, if passed, will make the abortion laws a federal business instead of leaving it to the state government. To urge United States senators to pass this bill, Harris is most probably of the belief that the democratic party will emerge as the winner in the next presidential election. Indeed, the only people who are blind to the actions of the Biden administration are the president and his party members.
Harris added, “I believe government should not be telling women what to do with their bodies. I believe government should not be telling women how to plan their families.”
Like the vice president, several other democrats have consistently pushed the Court to change its decision under claims that the ruling was “extremist” and illegitimate. In addition, they have fought for numerous unnecessary and aggressive reforms against the verdict.
Chief Justice John Roberts replied to the entire faction last week, addressing an audience in Colorado at the 10th Circuit Bench and Bar Conference. He noted that the Supreme Court’s legitimacy could not be randomly questioned just because they disagree with an opinion.
He added, “The Court has always decided controversial cases and decisions always have been subject to intense criticism and that is entirely appropriate. But I don’t understand the connection between the opinions people disagree with and the legitimacy of the Supreme Court.”
