‘Who?’: Trump Demolishes Reporter After Snarky Question On Air Force One
President Donald Trump delivered a brutal takedown of a HuffPost reporter aboard Air Force One, leaving the so-called journalist scrambling after a snarky question failed to land.
During a media interaction on the flight, S.V. Dáte, a senior White House correspondent for HuffPost, attempted to push a vague and confusing question about Vice President J.D. Vance and supposed rule enforcement.
Trump, unimpressed, quickly shut him down.
“I don’t even know what you’re talking about. Neither do you,” Trump fired back before sizing up the journalist and asking, “Who are you with?”
When Dáte responded, “HuffPost, sir,” Trump didn’t hold back.
“No wonder. I thought they died,” he shot back, mocking the struggling left-wing outlet, which has seen significant declines in readership and influence in recent years.
WATCH:
The failed gotcha moment is the latest in a long string of media embarrassments as left-leaning outlets continue to struggle in the post-Trump era. HuffPost, once a dominant force in online media, has faced major layoffs, funding issues, and a dwindling audience as Americans grow tired of the biased and agenda-driven press.
Meanwhile, Dáte—who has a history of hostile questioning—was left grasping at straws. The reporter has previously made headlines for his blatant anti-Trump stance, once asking Trump in 2020 if he regretted “all the lying you’ve done to the American people.”
With Trump back in the political spotlight, liberal journalists seem more desperate than ever to land a hit—but if this exchange proves anything, it’s that the 45th (and likely 47th) president isn’t losing any sleep over their attempts.
