WILD: MSNBC Hack Claims Republicans Ready to Take Up Arms
Are you, a Trump supporter, ready to take up arms against the government? Perhaps you’re furious with what the Biden regime is doing and how his FBI is acting like the American Stasi, but prudence and common sense dictate that you’re likely not reaching for that AR-15, yet at least.
Sure, the 2020 election was a disappointment in more ways than one and there are lots of allegations that it was not fairly conducted. Yes, many are furious with how the FBI has acted so far and how it has gone along with whatever Biden wants, acting in a way that many Americans find appalling. And, of course, America seems headed on a worse and worse path every day.
But taking up arms? That seems unlikely. Whether you want one or not, the simple fact is that one just doesn’t look like it’s going to happen in the near term. Most Republicans had trouble saying George Floyd wasn’t a martyr…they’re not ready to don body armor and fight for the Don.
But it’s what MSNBC’s national affairs analyst, John Heilemann, said Monday when he appeared on “Morning Joe”. Speaking on the topic of Trump and Trump-supporting Republicans, Heilemann the MSNBC hack said:
“He knows the path for him forward is always about division, anger, energy. The division, dividing the country, reducing the core of his base down but at the same time making that into a sauce of a kind, right? It’s like he reduces it down. It gets stronger, more virulent, more toxic, also more energized, and also more violent.
“He is not focused on ‘Oh, boy, I’m going to lose a few swing voters here.’ He’s focused on the fact that the people who are going to be at the core of his base are going to be more animated, more ginned up, more willing to take to the barricades to do whatever is necessary to try to reinstall him in power. And that’s the danger, is that the fact that at the base is getting smaller, it makes it more dangerous in a lot of ways because those are the people who are willing to do things like take up arms and press the questions — press the questions and tactics that lead to civil war.”
Given that Trump is particularly popular right now as his administration looks better and better when compared with Slow Joe’s trainwreck of an administration, that claim about his base getting smaller and smaller is facially ridiculous.
But, beyond that, the utter absurdity of a leftist whining about Republicans taking to the barricades is hard to ignore. Which side of the political aisle was it that burnt down the country for months, causing billions of dollars in damage and killing dozens? Oh, that’s right, the left. That’s who torched the country and actually took to the barricades…
