Woke ‘Star Wars’ Actor Makes Sick Post Wishing For Trump’s Death

Actor Mark Hamill is facing a wave of backlash after sharing a post on Bluesky that appeared to depict President Donald Trump dead in a grave, alongside the caption “If Only.”

The image, posted from Hamill’s verified account, shows what appears to be Trump lying in dirt beneath a gravestone reading “DONALD J. TRUMP 1946–2024.” Across the bottom of the image are the words “If Only.”

Hamill then added his own commentary to the post.

“If Only,” Hamill said. “He should live long enough to witness his inevitable devastating loss in the midterms, be held accountable for his unprecedented corruption, impeached, convicted & humiliated for his countless crimes. Long enough to realize he’ll be disgraced in the history books, forevermore. #don_TheCON”

The post drew sharp criticism online, with critics arguing that imagery of a dead president lands differently in a country still on edge after multiple assassination-related incidents and threats in recent years.

While Hamill’s text says Trump should “live long enough” to face political defeat and legal consequences, critics focused on the image itself, which centers on a grave scene under the phrase “If Only.”

The blowback also put Disney’s Star Wars orbit back in the spotlight. Hamill remains permanently linked to the franchise as Luke Skywalker, even when he is not attached to current marketing campaigns.

The controversy is unfolding as Disney and Lucasfilm prepare for The Mandalorian and Grogu, the company’s next major Star Wars theatrical release after years of stalled projects and uncertainty around the brand’s big-screen future.

Hamill has long used social media to slam Trump, but critics said this post crossed into darker territory by pairing a grave image with the words “If Only.”

Whether Disney addresses the uproar publicly remains unclear. For now, the post continues to circulate beyond Bluesky as the debate over celebrity political rhetoric and escalating imagery intensifies.
