‘Yellowstone’ Star Kicked From Flight For Refusing To Sit With Masked Passenger
Forrie J. Smith, a staple of Hollywood and cast member of the hit series “Yellowstone,” admitted in a recent social media post that he was booted off a public flight after refusing to sit next to a passenger who was wearing a mask.
The 65-year-old was stranded in Houston’s international airport after the incident, he told his Instagram followers in a short video.
“You know my social media people tell me that you like me face to face, but you know what I can’t say face to face what I want,” Smith started. “I just got kicked off a plane, and … where the hell am I at – Houston, Texas – because I told them I didn’t feel comfortable sitting next to somebody with a mask on.”
Further in, Smith admitted he had been drinking at the airport while waiting to board his flight.

“Ya, I’ve been drinking. I’ve been sitting in an airport for three hours. Ya I’m drinking. I ain’t drunk, but they throw me off the plane because I’m drunk, because you people won’t stand up and tell everybody what bulls*** this is… I just told them I didn’t feel comfortable about sitting next to somebody that had to wear a mask, and I’m off the plane.”
Smith’s dismissal from the flight is not the first time he has raised objections with public areas or other mass gatherings requiring Covid protocols years after the pandemic.

According to the New York Post, the actor was left out of the 2022 Screen Actor’s Guild Awards after complaining that the event required all attendees to be vaccinated. Not only that, but booster shots and a proof of a negative Covid test 48 hours before the ceremony were required.
“I want to apologize to y’all for not being at the Screen Actors Guild Awards,” Smith said at the time in a since-deleted video. “I mean no offense to anyone. I’m not vaccinated, and it’s a requirement to be vaccinated.”
Smith, who appears in the Kevin Costner hit series as Lloyd Pierce, said he intended to support his cast members over their multiple award nominations that night but that he doesn’t “believe in that stuff,” referencing the Covid protocols.
“I will not get vaccinated. I haven’t been vaccinated since I was a little kid. I don’t vaccinate my dogs, I don’t vaccinate my horses. I’ve never had a flu shot. Never will. I believe they compromise your immunities,” he added at the time.
