YIKES: Biden’s Doing so Badly that Now Even Leftists are Ripping Into His Responses to Crises
How badly is Team Biden doing with its responses to the crises facing America right now? So badly that now even far-left TV and media personalities including Colbert, Seth Meyers, and “Charlamagne Tha God” are ripping into his responses to everything from a likely recession to monkeypox.
Seth Meyers, for instance, ripped Biden’s recent “God willing there won’t be a recession” line during a segment of his show, saying:
“And now if you don’t mind, we’re going to get to the news President Biden said yesterday that he doesn’t think the country is going into a recession and added, “god willing. All right. Well, “god willing” kind of undercuts the first part. That’s like saying, “of course I’m I’m good to drive. God willing.”
As background, Biden, when speaking about the risk of a recession and the highly anticipated release of economic data that might show that recession, said:
“But I don’t think we’re going to — God willing — I don’t think we’re going to see a recession.”
But that “God willing” comment wasn’t the only thing that upset the leftists. Even inveterate leftist Stephen Colbert ripped into the response so far to the Monkeypox outbreak, saying:
“Monkeypox first appeared in the U.S. back in May, and unlike with Covid, we really should have been ready, because there’s a pre-existing vaccine. In fact, the United States owns well over a million doses. But by June, New York City had only 1,000 doses available. That’s nothing! A thousand New Yorkers is the waitlist for brunch.
“We’re really behind on this public health crisis. But in the first few weeks after monkeypox arrived in the U.S., the government requested only 72,000 doses, taking what’s now being called a “wait-and-see attitude.” Not the urgency you’re looking for in an emergency.”
Then there was Charlamagne the God, who ripped into Biden’s ability to “protect our rights”, by which he presumably meant the ability of women to get abortions. Speaking on that and the Biden Administration’s ability to shield that supposed “right”, he said:
“I don’t really like nobody. I don’t really like nobody. You know, I think we all did the best we could, right? I’m a big fan of the four agreements. The last agreement in the four agreements is always do your best.
“We all just did our best. We did our civic duty and went throughout and voted for the person that we thought you know could protect our rights. Doesn’t look like those rights are being protected all wait right now.”
Except for Meyers’ comment, much of that criticism might be unfair or related to things that aren’t really Biden’s fault. However, regardless of its fairness, the criticism shows something that should worry Biden quite a bit: now even the far-left hacks on these late-night shows are willing to start attacking him and his responses to supposed crises, something that’s not going to help his party in the upcoming midterms.
