Congressman Al Green, for example, apparently not content with making a fool of himself by claiming that slaves were the real Founding Fathers, went on to claim that Trump is putting our nation “at risk” when speaking with Al Sharpton on MSNBC.
He began that by claiming that the FBI was actually being polite when it raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, saying:
“Thank you so much, reverend. And I think you summed it up more than adequately. In fact, it’s an exceptional summary. I would add that the ex-president, if you will, is now contending that there may be an illegal search and seizure.
“And of course, we understand that this was something that was authorized by the court itself. And something that was given notice such that the agents who went there understood that they would be assisted and there was no breaking in, kicking down doors. It was actually what I would consider a courtesy that was accorded the ex-president.”
Then he continued on to claim that Trump “put our nation at risk” by declassifying documents to take home with him (documents supposedly about Crossfire Hurricane), saying:
“The ex-president understands or should understand, knows or should know, that he does not have the authority to maintain top secret documents. Top secret documents if released in an unauthorized fashion, can pose a grave threat to national security. Of course, this president has demonstrated time and time again that he will put our nation at risk, at risk so that he may achieve some personal gain.”
Green then went back to defending the regime hacks that so viciously attacked Trump, this time defending AG Garland and saying:
“And I think that Merrick Garland, the attorney general, is acting in a very judicious fashion. He has demonstrated that he is a patient person, who looks closely at his empirical evidence before he acts. I do believe that the president will likely be the target and may likely be more than simply a search and a seizure of evidence. There may be more to come.”
But Green wasn’t the only one making absurd claims about Trump on MSNBC, even after considering what the lying hacks calling him a “fascist” had to say.
Moodie Mills, an “LGBTQ Advocate”, joined in as well (also on MSNBC, of course), saying that the GOP is supporing “extremism” and “danger” and “violence,” ignoring the BLM and Antifa riots, which were far more of all three of those things than anything the GOP has done, saying:
“I think that Democrats need to be very clear about their message and the policies that the Biden Administration has successfully passed in their waves of winds over the capacity of weeks.
“I also think they need to remind American people about the extremism and the danger and violence that Republicans are supporting, because if they are not condemning what’s happening with their base right now and how they are attacking the FBI, how they are attacking hospitals, how they are attacking law enforcement, then they are condoning it. Democrats need to be able to thread both messages to the American people over the next 12 weeks.”
So that’s the sort of delusional state of mind the left is in. What wackjobs.
