VIDEO: Zac Brown Performs Electrifying National Anthem Under Military Flyover At UFC Historic White House Event
President Donald Trump and UFC CEO Dana White made a memorable entrance ahead of historic UFC Freedom 250 on the South Lawn of the White House on Sunday. The entrance was followed by an electrifying national anthem performance from country star Zac Brown and the Armed Forces chorus, as well as a memorable military flyover.
The event — which coincides with Flag Day as well as President Trump’s 80th birthday — marked the first professional sporting event on White House grounds. Trump, a longtime supporter of the UFC, and White entered the custom-built arena area after walking through the White House, starting at the Oval Office.
The president then made his way cage-side after the presentation of the colors, while the U.S. Marine Band played “Hail To The Chief.” The duo soaked in the atmosphere of the temporary 4,000-seat venue, which features a full-size Octagon, massive screens, red-white-and-blue staging, and an overhead lighting rig known as “The Claw.”

The centerpiece of the pre-fight ceremonies was country star Zac Brown’s rendition of the U.S. National Anthem. Brown, frontman of the Grammy-winning Zac Brown Band, performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” alongside the United States Marine Band and the combined Armed Forces Chorus.
A die-hard UFC fan who has followed the sport extensively, Brown described the opportunity as an honor, especially given the presence of thousands of active service members. “Man, I’m there for the troops, man. I’m there to honor America. This is patriotism, not politics for me. F*** all the division. I don’t believe in that. I love this country,” he said when asked about the event during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.
The rendition culminated in a breathtaking military flyover featuring the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and U.S. Navy Blue Angels. As Brown and the chorus hit the final notes of “home of the brave,” the jets roared overhead in formation
Joint appearances by the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels are relatively uncommon due to their separate service branches, demanding schedules, and the logistical challenges of coordinating such high-profile demonstrations. They typically perform independently at airshows and major sporting events, making this joint flyover a standout rarity reserved for exceptional national occasions.
