Zelenskyy Melts Down After Trump Redirects Missile Shipment To U.S. Forces
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is extremely upset with President Donald Trump for a recent move he made concerning a military shipment.
Trump sent the weapons to U.S. military forces stationed in the Middle East instead of giving them to Ukraine in order to support their war effort against Russia and its president, Vladimir Putin.
Zelenskyy made an appearance on ABC News last Sunday, complaining that former President Joe Biden had made a promise to send his country 20,000 missiles. Geopolitical experts believe Zelenskyy would have simply used the weapons to prolong the war between the two nations, which has proven to be very lucrative for the Ukrainian president.
“We counted on this project — 20,000 missiles. Anti-Shahed missiles,” Zelenskyy said during the program. “It was not expensive, but it’s a special technology.”
“So, we counted on these 20,000 missiles. Today, in the morning, my minister of defense told me that United States moved it to the Middle East,” he continued.
He then said, “Without the help of the United States, we will have more losses.”
On Friday morning, Israel launched a massive 200 plane airstrike on Iran’s nuclear sites, which Iran has claimed is an act of war. Given that the Jewish State and the U.S. are close allies, they will likely believe America helped with the strike in some capacity and could potentially attack military installations in the region.
President Trump stated he was made aware of the attack in advance, which is likely one of the reasons behind the movement of the weapons to our forces in the Middle East.
Celeste Wallander, a former official in Biden’s Defense Department, spoke with the media and said she feels both sides have made valid points.
“But there is also an urgent requirement to protect U.S. personnel and bases in the Middle East against Houthi and potentially Iranian drone attacks,” Wallander said.
It’s important to note that as of this writing, the United States has provided Ukraine with a substantial amount of funding, somewhere around $183 billion.
While Biden was in the Oval Office, he sent Ukraine weapons and equipment from our country’s own reserve a shocking 55 times.
