BREAKING: Suspected Kirk Assassin’s Potential ‘Co-Conspirator’ Revealed
In the days before he fired a single, deadly bullet over a college crowd, killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk, suspected killer Tyler Robinson was allegedly bragging about his plan in newly unearthed online chats.
Robinson, a 22-year-old college student, was a frequent user of Discord, an online community favored by gamers and internet culture hobbyists. Discovery of the messages was announced by Utah Governor Spencer Cox at a press conference on Friday morning.
Authorities spoke with a college roommate of Robinson who lived with him at Utah State University, where he was attending on scholarship. The student allowed investigators to take photographs of the messages where Robinson allegedly bragged about obtaining a rifle and engraving shell casings like those found at the scene of the crime.
An account named “Tyler” wrote that he was racing to a “drop point, leaving the rifle in a bush.” He also mentioned wrapping the firearm in a towel similar to the way a Mauser .30-06 hunting rifle was discovered on a rooftop adjacent to where Kirk was speaking on Wednesday. It is unclear at this time who brought the rifle to the drop point for Robinson, but investigators are viewing the individual as a potential co-conspirator.
“Tyler” also discussed “engraving bullets” with statements and “a mention of a scope and the rifle being unique messages,” Cox stated, per Newsweek.
The governor confirmed that the online messages line up with evidence found at the scene, where spent and unspent shell casings contained online taunts, lyrics to an anti-Nazi folksong, and anti-gay taunts.

“Inscriptions on a fired casing read ‘notices, bulges, capital O-W-O, what’s this?'” Cox announced.
“Inscriptions on the three unfired casings read ‘Hey fascist! Catch!’ Up-arrow symbol, right-arrow symbol, and three down-arrow symbols.”
“A second unfired casing read ‘O bella ciao, bella ciao bella ciao ciao ciao, and a third unfired casing read ‘If you read this you are gay LMAO.'”
The 19th-century Italian folksong “Bella ciao” was later adapted and dedicated to Italian resistance fighters who fought against the Nazi occupation of their country during World War II. The phrase “Notices bulges OWO what’s this?” is one used to troll others in online gameplay, the NYT reported.
Robinson was arrested without incident around 11 p.m. on Thursday night, where he was found wearing a maroon t-shirt and light-colored shorts matching those of the suspect seen in security footage leaving the campus. Police believe he arrived at Utah Valley University in a gray Dodge Challenger before climbing onto a roof, firing a single round, and fleeing into a nearby neighborhood.
Kirk, a prominent conservative activist, is credited with helping shape the direction of Gen Z voters toward Trump.
