NEW: Tyler Robinson Joked About Shooting In Discord Chat While On The Run

Tyler Robinson, the alleged gunman who murdered prominent conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University this past Wednesday, joked with his friends in a Discord chat that his “doppleganger” was the one who assassinated Kirk after the FBI released photos of him during the manhunt.

The accused assassin — whom investigators believe was in a gay relationship with his transgender roommate at the time of the attack — saw his chat light up when feds released images of their person of interest to the public on Thursday. One person in the chat posted the images of Robinson and tagged him with, “wya,” short for “where you at” alongside a skull emoji.

Robinson — who is accused of fatally shooting Kirk with a single shot fired by a bolt-action rifle — answered just a minute later by joking that his “look-alike” was trying to “get me in trouble.”

“Tyler killed Charlie!!!” another user then wrote, according to a report from the New York Post. Another member of the 20-person group chat joked that they were going to turn Robinson in so they could collect the $150,000 reward that was being offered by the FBI at the time.

“Only if I get a cut,” the accused killer responded.

“Whatever you do, don’t go to a mcdonalds anytime soon,” one friend quipped in reference to Luigi Mangione, who is currently awaiting trial on murder charges in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Mangione — who has become a hero to the radical left — was arrested in a Western Pennsylvania McDonald’s after a days-long manhunt.

Robinson replied by seemingly nodding to his own crime, stating that he “better also get rid of this manifesto and exact copy rifle I have lying around,” before urging the shooter was “CLEARLY” from California. The accused killer then mocked the FBI’s investigation, stating that the alleged pro-trans messaging recovered from shell casings was invented by some “dude in the briefing room.”

Casings recovered by investigators contained a number of messages that point to Robinson’s left-wing ideology, including, “hey fascist, catch” and a reference to an Italian communist song that is popular among Antifa-linked groups. Another message read, “*notices bulge* OWO what’s this?” a potential reference to online fetish communities.

The alleged assassin turned himself in Southwestern Utah – a more than three hour drive from the Orem campus – after being confronted by his own father and speaking with a youth minister about the shooting, law enforcement sources said.
