NEW: Anti-Trump Actor Beats Up Neighbor While His Kids Watch

“Reacher” star Alan Ritchson is under investigation in Tennessee after a neighbor accused him of throwing punches during a weekend clash that was caught on video.

TMZ published footage that appears to show Ritchson going toe-to-toe with another man in a Nashville-area suburb while two children, described by the outlet as the actor’s kids, sit nearby on motorbikes.

The alleged victim, Ronnie Taylor, told TMZ the dispute started Saturday when Ritchson rode his green Kawasaki through the neighborhood at what Taylor described as an excessive speed, revving the engine and disturbing the peace. Taylor said he flipped the actor off and claimed Ritchson returned the gesture.

Taylor said the situation escalated Sunday around noon when Ritchson came through the area again, and Taylor alleged the actor was speeding once more, this time with two youngsters riding their own motorbikes. Taylor said he confronted Ritchson and asked, “Can you f***ing stop this please,” and claims the exchange turned physical.

Taylor told TMZ he went to police and reported that Ritchson punched him in the face and kicked him. Taylor also alleged that Ritchson fell off his bike, got back up and tried to run him off. Taylor told officers that a tussle followed and that Ritchson allegedly struck him in the back of the head.

Taylor claimed Ritchson hit him “at least four times” while he was on the ground, leaving bruises and swelling. Taylor said he did not go to the hospital, but he claimed neighbors witnessed the encounter.

Law enforcement sources confirmed to TMZ there is an investigation stemming from the incident, but no arrests had been made as of the outlet’s report. TMZ said it reached out to representatives for Ritchson and did not immediately receive a response.

Ritchson has also made headlines for political shots that don’t exactly line up with the audience that helped make “Reacher” a massive hit. In a cover story with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor took aim at President Donald Trump and argued parts of the Christian world have become too aggressive in politics.

“Trump is a rapist and a con man, and yet the entire Christian church seems to be treat him like he’s their poster child, and it’s unreal,” he said. “I don’t understand it.”

In the same profile, Ritchson defended a 2020 Instagram post that resurfaced showing him wearing a shirt that read “Arrest the cops who killed Breonna Taylor.”

“That was a tragic case,” he said. “Cops get away with murder all the time, and the fact that we can’t really hold them accountable for their improprieties is disturbing to me… I mean, you shouldn’t have to spend more time getting an education as a hairstylist than as a cop who’s armed with a deadly weapon.”
