JUST IN: Trump Reveals Nomination For Key Administration Post
President Donald Trump on Thursday announced he is nominating Dr. Nicole B. Saphier, a Fox News medical contributor and radiologist, to serve as U.S. surgeon general after pulling Casey Means’ stalled nomination.
“I am pleased to announce that I am nominating Dr. Nicole B. Saphier to be the next SURGEON GENERAL OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.
“Nicole is a STAR physician who has spent her career guiding women facing breast cancer through their diagnosis and treatment while tirelessly advocating to increase early cancer detection and prevention, while at the same time working with men and women on all other forms of cancer diagnoses and treatments,” Trump continued.
“She is also an INCREDIBLE COMMUNICATOR, who makes complicated health issues more easily understood by all Americans. Dr. Nicole Saphier will do great things for our Country, and help, “MAKE AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN.” Congratulations Nicole, our Country has long been waiting for you!” he concluded.

Saphier, a frequent presence on Fox News and Fox Business, is a radiologist who has served as director of breast imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Monmouth in New Jersey. Her nomination marks Trump’s latest effort to install a top public health official aligned with his administration’s Make America Healthy Again push.
The announcement came after Trump withdrew Means’ nomination following months of trouble in the Senate. Means, a wellness entrepreneur and MAHA advocate, had faced scrutiny from senators over her medical background, vaccine views and lack of an active medical license.
Trump blamed Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., for helping derail the nomination, ripping the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee chairman in a separate post.

“Hopefully all of the Great Republican People of Louisiana, which I won, BIG, three times, will be voting Bill Cassidy OUT OF OFFICE in the upcoming Republican Primary! President DONALD J. TRUMP”
Cassidy, a physician and key Republican vote on health nominees, had questioned Means during her confirmation fight as her nomination struggled to gain traction. Cassidy currently sits in third place in primary polls.
Saphier now heads into the confirmation process as Trump looks to put a prominent physician and conservative media voice in one of the nation’s most visible public health posts.
