‘Jersey Shore’ Star ‘Snooki’ Reveals Cancer Update
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is preparing for the next stage of her cancer battle after revealing she’s set to undergo a hysterectomy following her stage 1 cervical adenocarcinoma diagnosis.
The former “Jersey Shore” star, 38, shared a candid health update in a TikTok video posted over the weekend, saying the time has come for the surgery after revealing her diagnosis five months ago.
“I’ve been so busy traveling and doing all the things but now it’s game time. It’s happening soon,” Polizzi said.
The reality TV personality, who shares three children — Lorenzo, 13, Giovanna, 11, and Angelo, 7 — with husband Jionni LaValle, also recalled the anxiety she felt before a recent PET scan that confirmed the cancer had not spread and helped doctors finalize her treatment plan.
“So, I get there and they put me in the room, like get me ready,” she said. “I get there and the nurse comes in with a big suitcase. I had no idea they inject you with radioactive material. So, she opens this suitcase and gets this big needle out and I’m like, ‘[Expletive] me.’ I hate needles.”
Despite her fear of needles, Polizzi said she knew there was no turning back.
“At this point it’s like, ‘Just do it.’ Whatever.”
She also found humor in the temporary precautions that followed the scan.
“It didn’t spread but then she’s like, ‘Do you have kids? You can’t be by your kids for the rest of the day. Make sure you don’t sleep with them,’” Polizzi said. “So I was basically a walking Chernobyl for the rest of the day.”

As her surgery approaches, Snooki said she has already completed pre-operative testing, including blood work and an EKG.
She explained that doctors will not perform the procedure laparoscopically. Instead, surgeons will make a larger abdominal incision similar to one used during a C-section.
“My surgery is very soon,” she said. “I’m trying not to think about it or freak out. Because like, I’m losing an organ. Right, it’s an organ? Your uterus, cervix thing? Yeah. OK.”
Fans quickly filled the comments with messages of encouragement, with several thanking the MTV star for publicly documenting her experience.
One follower said Polizzi’s honesty prompted her to schedule a Pap smear, which led doctors to discover a condition requiring treatment.
“You literally saved my life,” the commenter wrote.
Another fan asked whether surgeons planned to remove her ovaries during the hysterectomy. Polizzi responded that, “They are leaving the ovaries.”
