JUST IN: RFK Gaining On Biden In New Democrat Primary Poll

Published

on

In the latest Democrat primary poll, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is gaining steam on Joe Biden. While Biden still holds a significant lead with the support of 62% of Democratic primary voters, Kennedy has risen to 19%, with Marianne Williamson trailing at 9%.

Biden’s opponents have had the most success in peeling away support among women and Gen Xers, keeping Biden in the mid-fifties among both groups.

As the primary race heats up, it remains to be seen whether Kennedy’s momentum will continue and if Biden will be able to maintain his lead. Kennedy, a member of the Democratic Party, has been critical of his party’s decision not to hold primary debates before the 2024 presidential election. Kennedy also emphasized the importance of debates and town halls in rebuilding public confidence in the political system and called for both political parties to ensure election integrity.

Since Biden officially launched his campaign, a poll released showed a significant percentage of 2020 Biden voters do not believe he should run for re-election. Over half of those who voted for Biden (53%) and a majority of Democratic primary voters who supported Bernie Sanders (64%) think Biden should not run again.

Concerns about Biden’s age and ability to perform the job were cited as the top reasons for these opinions.
