Joe Scarborough Nearly Brought To Tears, Curses On Air Because Trump Dominated At CNN Town Hall
A visibly defeated Joe Scarborough shared his thoughts Thursday morning about last night’s town hall with President Donald Trump where he received an uninterrupted primetime hour to present his argument for reelection in 2024.
Calling the town hall “disgraceful on every level,” the MSNBC morning host shunned the Republican audience for giving credence to the former president’s claims about the 2020 election, finishing the nation’s southern border wall, and promising to end Russia’s war with Ukraine in 24 hours.
“I wouldn’t say it’s dangerous for democracy because we passed that a long time ago, but it showed the corrosive effects of Trumpism over eight years. And I’ve got to say the most shocking part was an audience that cheered on a president who tried to overturn American democracy. An audience that mocked and ridiculed a woman who a jury of Donald Trump’s peers found had been sexually assaulted. Those Americans there last night turned that into a punchline. Laughed and dismissed cops getting the s*** kicked out of them on January 6th, getting beaten up over and over again. Calling a cop a thug who was actually trying to stop people on the House floor from being killed. I could just go on and on,” said Scarborough.

The town hall was somewhat of a launching pad for the former president’s campaign to recapture the White House in 2024 and demonstrated the great strides his team has made in bringing discipline and focus to his messaging.
Throughout the evening, Trump commanded the support of an audience comprised of Republican voters who joined him in jeering moderator Kaitlan Collins as she repeatedly attempted to discuss the 2020 election.
The attention of the event has left Republicans and Democrats itching for opportunities to grade the performance of Trump as well as CNN.
“Squad” Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) had a meltdown over the network’s decision to “platform” the former president while Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) blamed CNN for focusing on issues unimportant to American voters. Even CNN, in its own post-event focus group with Republicans, got jabbed for asking too many questions about the 2020 election instead of Trump’s plans if reelected.
