Hamas Leader Calls For GLOBAL JIHAD, Attacks In US And EU

One of the leaders and a founding member of Hamas Khaled Mashal has reportedly issued a call for a global Jihad Tuesday instructing Muslims everywhere to target the people of Israel.

He made the declaration in a video posted to YouTube which has now been rendered private as of late Wednesday but was still viewable as recently as 10 AM EST. (Archived)

As reported by American Military News, a troubling translation of the video was made available on X by “Ex-Muslim, follower of Christ, author, apologist, Brother Rachid,” who wrote that Mashal called upon Muslims to:

“1. To show anger, especially next Friday, in Muslim countries and Also among Muslim diaspora around the world; he called it “the Friday of Al-Aqsa flood”, he said this will send a message of rage to Zionists and to America

2. He asked for financial help from all Muslims around the world; to help with their money, he called it “Financial Jihad”. He asked Muslims to give to the fighters of Gaza in order to compensate them for the destruction

3.He asked political pressure, from Muslim leaders and Muslim nations, to stop Israel’s military invasion of Gaza

4.The most important thing: He asked all Muslims around the world to carry Jihad by their souls; to fight and be martyrs for Al-Aqsa. He wants Muslims to fight against the Jews, starting with Muslims who live in the countries surrounding Israel: Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt (but also other countries), to go to the borders and try to enter, each by his own means. He said: This is the time for Jihad to be applied on the ground rather than just in theory. He asked the Mujahedeen to go in long caravans to spell their blood on the land of Palestine.”

Finally, he reportedly added, “Funds are important but today we are asking for your blood and souls [to be sacrificed for Palestine]”

My own analysis based on Mashal’s speech:

1. I predict possible terrorist attacks next Friday (or even before), in European countries and the U.S. against Jewish targets, and also American targets

Rashid offered his own analysis based on the address predicting ” possible terrorist attacks next Friday (or even before), in European countries and the U.S. against Jewish targets, and also American targets,” in addition to “protests, in Muslim countries and in western countries, led by Islamists showing rage by acts of violence and destruction,” and “possible attacks against Americans and Jews in some of the Muslim countries.”

Curiously he also predicted that Muslim Jihadist forces would not materialize at the borders of Israel as requested.

According to Memri TV, Hamas also sent out a statement designating “Friday, October 13, As General Mobilization Day For ‘Al-Aqsa Flood Operation,’ Urges West Bank, Jerusalem Palestinians To Join Massive Rallies And Confront Israeli Soldiers”

In the statement Hamas called upon “the masses of our Arab and Islamic nation and our Palestinian people in all places, including refugee camps and the diaspora, to march towards the borders of our beloved Palestine in massive gatherings. On this day, we declare our solidarity with Palestine, Jerusalem, and Al-Aqsa. For those geographically distant, let them gather at the nearest point leading to Jerusalem.”

Adding, “We call upon the free people of the world to mobilize in solidarity with our Palestinian people and in support of their just cause and legitimate rights to freedom, independence, return, and self-determination.”
