MTG Makes Hunter Biden STORM OUT Of Contempt Hearing: ‘You’re Afraid Of My Words?’
A congressional hearing exploring contempt charges against Hunter Biden erupted on Wednesday after he stormed out of the room following a heated exchange on why he chose to skip previously planned testimony.
Video of the incident shows the son of President Joe Biden and his attorneys abruptly rise and exit the hearing room just as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was given time to grill him.
“Excuse me, Hunter. Apparently, you’re afraid of my words?” taunted the Georgia lawmaker as her colleagues uttered their own incredulity at Hunter’s brazen walkout.

The House Oversight Committee held its hearing Wednesday morning to consider a resolution endorsing contempt of Congress charges against Hunter. Last month, he skipped pre-planned testimony about his overseas business dealings, instead appearing for his own press conference outside Congress to slam Republicans for tarnishing his reputation. Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) previously indicated that contempt of Congress charges would be pursued, leading Hunter to appear today to defend his actions.
Sitting in the audience with his attorney Abbe Lowell, Hunter was almost certainly going to be called by Rep. Greene to answer questions about his obstruction, which he has insisted was based on a refusal by committee leadership to open his testimony to the public. Rep. Comer promised a public hearing at a later date though insisted the initial testimony be given behind closed doors.
Aides past and present to President Biden are torn over how to manage Hunter’s offensive press strategy. Jen Psaki, the president’s former press secretary, indicated on MSNBC last month that Hunter is only hurting his father’s reelection campaign and should stay out of the limelight.
“Look, I think if you’re sitting in the White House right now, you’re like ‘Please, Hunter Biden, we know your dad loves you. Please stop talking in public,’” Psaki said, slamming her hand on the table for emphasis. “This is not helpful for any of them to be out there.”
Those inside the White House are managing “fits of rage” by President Biden who has expressed regret over running for a second term, stating his belief that criminal charges against Hunter on tax fraud and gun possession would otherwise not have been brought.
