NEW: Oversight Republicans Announce Next Step In Biden Bribery Inquiry

The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, under James Comer (R-KY), has escalated its investigation into President Joe Biden with a new hearing set to expose allegations of influence peddling linked to his tenure in public office.

The session aims to delve into Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s international and domestic business dealings, which have been a point of contention and investigation.

Scheduled for March 20, the hearing will call upon Hunter Biden, Devon Archer, Tony Bobulinski, and Jason Galanis to provide testimony. These individuals, closely associated with the Biden family’s business ventures, are expected to shed light on the extent of Joe Biden’s participation and the benefits he may have derived from these engagements.

“Multiple witnesses have testified that Joe Biden allowed his family to commercialize his status globally, enriching themselves through associations with foreign businesses and oligarchs,” Comer stated.

The hearing intends to confront these allegations head-on, addressing the discrepancies in testimonies previously gathered and striving to uncover the truth behind the Bidens’ purported pay-to-play scheme.

“During our deposition and interview phase of the investigation, Hunter Biden confirmed evidence about Joe Biden’s involvement, yet his testimony conflicts with other witnesses’ testimonies,” said Comer. “Given the President son’s repeated calls for a public hearing, I fully expect Hunter Biden to appear for a scheduled Oversight Committee hearing on March 20, alongside Biden family business associates.”

He concluded, “The American people deserve the facts about the Biden family’s corrupt influence peddling and Oversight Republicans will work to ensure accountability and press for answers to inform legislative solutions to prevent this abuse of power.”

The development follows a period of depositions and interviews where conflicting accounts of Joe Biden’s involvement emerged, particularly from Hunter Biden. Earlier in March, details of Hunter’s closed-door meeting with House Republicans were released, ending speculation about what he may have said to implicate President Biden and other members of the family who participated in business dealings with foreign companies.

Among the findings is that Hunter did not consider his uncle “Jimmy” a business partner but merely an “advisor” he was paying at the time. “I wanted my uncle to be an advisor to me, so I sent money to him,” Hunter told two Republican-led committees.

Asking if President Biden, during his time as vice president and in the years that followed, dropped in on meetings between Hunter and business associates, Republicans were told that Biden was just there to make a birthday visit to his son.

Correspondence between Hunter and some of the associates, including those tied to CEFC, a corporation with ties to the Chinese communist government, included references to the “big guy,” widely believed to be President Biden and finally confirmed by Hunter this week.

Days later, Hunter and his partners received a $5 million wire payment. Bordering on absurd, Hunter later claimed that he received a diamond as payment only to later lose it.

Hunter is facing at least two separate criminal cases brought by special counsel David Weiss, who has charged him with crimes related to tax fraud, gun possession, and may still bring more charges for failing to register as a foreign agent on behalf of overseas businesses.
