Malik Obama, the brother of former President Barack Obama, has once again publicly questioned his brother’s sexuality on Twitter/X.
In response to Barack Obama’s public support for keeping a wide range of books, including some with ‘queer’ explicit content in libraries, Malik commented, “This guy must be gay.”
On July 17, Barack tweeted, “Today, some of the books that shaped my life – and the lives of so many others – are being challenged by people who disagree with certain ideas or perspectives. And librarians are on the front lines, fighting every day to make the widest possible range of viewpoints, opinions, and ideas available to everyone.”
This is not the first time Malik has made such comments. Just a few weeks prior, he had made a similar remark on the platform.

Barack and his brother Malik have had a complex relationship over the years. Malik has publicly criticized Barack on several occasions, expressing disappointment that Barack did not do more to help their extended family in Kenya during his presidency. He has also made political statements, such as expressing support for Donald Trump in the 2016 and 2020 U.S. presidential elections.
