‘Blustery Coward’: Tucker Carlson Absolutely Obliterates Chris Christie For Avoiding Tough Questions

In a recent spate of events, Tucker Carlson slammed the former governor of New Jersey and current Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie, labeling him a “blustery coward.” The critique follows an interview on ABC where, Carlson said, Christie sidestepped critical questions about his stance on Ukraine.

In a conversation with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, Christie outlined his position and also took shots at Carlson. “You weren’t in Iowa, you weren’t at the Tucker Carlson forum, but if you were being pressed on Ukraine like that, how would you have responded?” Stephanopoulos asked.

“I would have said, ‘You’ve always been wrong about this, Tucker, and you’re still wrong.’ That in fact, what’s going on, George, is that this is a proxy war with China,” Christie stated.

The former governor argued that China is financially supporting Russia’s war efforts by purchasing Russian oil and coordinating with Iran to supply lethal weapons to the Russian army. Christie said, “We could decide when to have this conflict. The Ukrainians are willing to fight this fight for themselves if they have our support.” He suggested that if the U.S. backs away from Ukraine, it would strengthen China’s position and potentially jeopardize American interests.

While the discussion on ABC was cordial, Tucker Carlson, who was obviously not present, took to Twitter to express his discontent with Christie’s responses. In a blistering critique, Carlson tweeted, “Sounds like this could use a longer conversation. We just asked @GovChristie to sit down and explain his views on Ukraine. He refused.”

Carlson did not pull any punches, accusing Christie of being a “blustery coward who plays the tough guy with sycophants at ABC but won’t answer real questions.” He urged the former governor to reconsider his refusal, suggesting that more robust discussions are essential for clarity and transparency.
