BREAKING: House Oversight Blindsides Biden, Reveals Damning New Impeachment Report
The U.S. House Oversight Committee on Monday released a final report concluding that President Joe Biden committed “impeachable offenses” on behalf of his family, setting the stage for a showdown between Republicans and the White House this fall.
Calling it the “strongest case for impeachment of a sitting president the House of Representatives has ever investigated,” the committee released its report on X, saying the 81-year-old “knew of, benefitted from, and participated in his family’s influence peddling schemes.”

“Our report details evidence to establish President Biden abused his office and violated his oaths of office as Vice President by engaging in a conspiracy to peddle influence to enrich his family. Then as President, Joe Biden and the Biden-Harris Administration obstructed the House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry and the criminal investigation of President Biden’s son,” the account adds. Fox News dug into the report which spans the period from Biden’s time as vice president and continuing for years after he left the White House for the first time. During that time, the committee concludes, Biden “abused his office” and “defrauded the United States to enrich his family.”

The 292-page report, compiled in conjunction with the House Judiciary Committee and House Ways and Means Committee, summarizes House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry into President Biden which recently stalled after he announced he would not be seeking a second term. Led by Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY), GOP lawmakers have sought to cast Biden as the shadowy patriarch of a vast family network conducting business in China, Russia, and other authoritarian countries while leaning on his influence as vice president. During their search for evidence, lawmakers found that Hunter Biden repeatedly pressed Obama administration officials to take meetings with his clients and requested that they help stymie an investigation by a Ukrainian prosecutor into Burisma Holdings, the energy conglomerate that counted him as a board member.
Republicans state that they have compiled “overwhelming evidence” that Biden participated in a “conspiracy to monetize his office of public trust to enrich his family.” Interested parties, working through Hunter as well as the president’s brother James and his wife Sarah, were being led by the Biden clan “to believe that such payments would provide them access to and influence with President Biden.” The committees state that all told, the president’s family collected more than $27 million from deals during that timeframe. That figure does not include $8 million in loans the family collected from party benefactors, loans which “have not been repaid and the paperwork supporting many of the loans does not exist and has not been produced to the committees.”
Many of these deals took place during President Biden’s time as vice president, the report states. “As Vice President, President Biden actively participated in his conspiracy by, among other things, attending dinners with his family’s foreign business partners and speaking to them by phone, often when being placed on speakerphone by Hunter Biden.” One example Republicans cite is a 2014 dinner between Biden and Yelena Baturina, a Russian oligarch who wired $3.5 million to Hunter’s firm Rosemont Seneca Thornton after the meeting. Biden again met with Baturina while she visited Washington, D.C. and also sat with Jonathan Li of BHR in China in 2013. After his vice presidency, Biden met with Ye Jianming of CEFC, a Chinese energy corporation connected to the communist government which wired Hunter and business associates $10 million for their troubles.
“Based on the totality of the evidence, it is inconceivable that President Biden did not understand that he was taking part in an effort to enrich his family by abusing his office of public trust,” the report states, adding Biden family members “went to great lengths to conceal this conspiracy.”
“Foreign money was transmitted to the Biden family through complicated financial transactions,” the report states. “The Biden family laundered funds through intermediate entities and broke up large transactions into numerous smaller transactions.” Using his father’s position in power, Hunter was able to gain “favorable outcomes in foreign business dealings and legal proceedings,” it goes on. “Several witnesses testified that Hunter Biden invoked his father in business dealings with Romanian, Chinese, Kazakhstani, and Ukrainian companies, resulting in millions of dollars flowing to the Biden family,” the report states. “President Biden’s participation in this conspiracy to enrich his family constitutes impeachable conduct,” they said. “By monetizing the Vice Presidency for his family’s benefit, he abused his office of public trust, placing the welfare of his family ahead of the welfare of the United States.”
The report also touches on President Biden’s collection of classified documents that were found in the garage of his Delaware home. The fallout led to the appointment of special counsel Robert Hur, who interviewed the former president at length and found him to be a “well-meaning, elderly old man with a poor memory” who could not describe how or why the documents came to be in his possession. “During his tenure as Vice President, Joe Biden removed highly sensitive classified documents from the White House, despite having no authority to do so,” the report states. Republicans also fault the Biden Justice Department for rebuffing requests by the IRS and its whistleblowers to further probe Hunter’s tax returns during years when questions remained about his lack of reported income.
“The Justice Department prevented line attorneys from conducting key interviews and pursuing important lines of inquiry,” the report states. “The special treatment for Hunter Biden, which only ceased at the onset of congressional attention on the Department’s investigation, may be a basis for impeachment, as the distortion of an official investigation was a basis in the prospective impeachment of President Nixon in 1974.”
