BREAKING: Tom Homan Faces Explosive Accusation On Stage

White House border czar Tom Homan wasn’t having it Thursday night when a heckler accused him of being a “racist” and a “traitor” at a Turning Point USA event at the University of Texas at El Paso.

“Call me what you want, I don’t care,” Homan shot back. He later fired off a challenge: “Why don’t you grow a backbone, put a Kevlar vest and a gun on your hip and go secure this border?”

The clash continued during a Q&A session. A man, who appeared to be the same heckler, claimed the gunman behind the 2019 mass shooting at an El Paso Walmart was influenced by Homan’s immigration stance.

“Patrick Crusius, your everyday conservative, drove hundreds of miles to our city based on your belief that Hispanics are replacing the white race of white people and we need a scare to deter Hispanics from coming into the country,” the man said.

Crusius, now 27, is serving a life sentence for killing 23 people and wounding 22 others. Most of the victims were Hispanic.

Homan refused to accept blame, responding that “the open border was an action, was a mess, and it was by design.”

The former ICE chief has repeatedly said Democrats opened the border in pursuit of political advantage. In a June episode of “Pod Force One” with The Post’s Miranda Devine, Homan argued the Biden administration had “sold” out the country “for future political power.”

“They wanted to overwhelm the system … because they knew it’d be millions of people that they thought would be in their corner in the future,” Homan said. “There is no other reason why you would open a border. There’s no downside on a secured border. There’s only one reason you would do this: Because you saw a future political benefit in doing it.”

Millions of migrants crossed into the country illegally under President Biden, many released into the United States and added to an already jammed immigration court system.

Homan contrasted the current crisis with what he called record success under former President Donald Trump, who ended “catch-and-release” immediately after taking office and began mass expulsions of illegal crossers.

“I’ve worked for six presidents, starting with Ronald Reagan,” Homan said. “Every president I ever worked for took steps to secure the border. Even [Bill] Clinton, [Barack] Obama, took some steps. No one was more successful than President Trump. His success was unprecedented.

“But Joe Biden, I’ve said this many times, Joe Biden is the first president in the history of this nation who came in office and unsecured a border on purpose. They opened it, they meant to open it, and knew exactly what they were doing.”
