Megyn Kelly has announced an upcoming interview with former President Donald Trump. This marks the first time in seven years that Kelly will be interviewing the former president. The highly anticipated conversation is set to air next Thursday, September 14.

Kelly took to her show to share the news on Thursday. “I want to start today with a big announcement. Huge, you might say,” she began. Over the past months, “The Megyn Kelly Show” has hosted a series of 2024 contenders, including Vivek Ramaswamy, Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, and Chris Christie.

However, the upcoming interview with Trump is undoubtedly the most awaited. “Next week, I’ll be interviewing former President Donald Trump. It will be my first interview with a former president in seven years,” Kelly said with excitement. She promised her audience a “spicy” and “tough” conversation.

“Donald Trump knows that I’m not somebody who suffers from Trump derangement syndrome like the vast majority of people in the media,” she stated. However, she was quick to add, “I’m also not a sycophant so I’m not gonna go in there and be a bootlicker.”

The last time Megyn Kelly interviewed Donald Trump was during the 2016 presidential campaign. As she aptly put it, “It’s going to be fun, and he can handle it perfectly well.”
