Comer Opens Hearing With Fiery Statement: ‘Bidens Put Themselves First, And Americans Last’

In a riveting opening statement at today’s IRS whistleblower hearing, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer unleashed a flurry of allegations against President Joe Biden and his family, accusing them of putting “themselves first, and Americans last.”

Since the Republican majority took over in the House in January, Comer stated that the Committee has made “historically fast progress” in its investigation into alleged influence-peddling schemes by the Biden family. The Committee has obtained thousands of pages of financial records, including bank records and suspicious activity reports tied to the Biden family and their associates.

Comer claimed that the records reveal the creation of over 20 shell companies by the Bidens, most of which were reportedly established during Joe Biden’s tenure as Vice President. The Biden family, their business associates, and their companies allegedly received over $10 million from foreign nationals and associated companies.

“Despite creating many companies after the vice president took office, the Biden family used associates’ companies to receive millions of dollars from foreign companies in China, Ukraine, and Romania,” Comer stated. He explained that a complex series of financial transactions was used to obscure the sources and total amounts of these funds.

The Chairman questioned the legality of these activities, asking, “What were the Bidens selling? Nothing but influence and access to the Biden network.”

Comer also raised concerns about the national security implications of the alleged transactions, specifically citing a disclosure from an FBI source suggesting that then-Vice President Biden was involved in an extortion and bribery scheme with a Burisma executive.

Comer praised the bravery of two whistleblowers who risked their careers to provide key testimony at the hearing. The whistleblowers’ accounts reportedly confirm the committee’s findings that there is “nothing normal” about the Biden family’s business activities.

In his concluding remarks, Comer dismissed attempts by the White House and Democrats to shrug off the investigation as a conspiracy theory, insisting instead that the committee’s findings are backed by concrete evidence. “We have facts,” he emphasized, “And new evidence continues to be uncovered by our committee revealing the First Family’s corruption.”

In a scathing final statement, Comer concluded, “The Bidens have put themselves first, and Americans last. We will continue to follow the money trail and provide the answers, transparency, and accountability that Americans demand and deserve.”
