Democrat Skips Debate, Joins Lawmaker Trying To Toss Parents In Jail For Not Affirming Transgender Kids

Democratic Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger of Virginia recently skipped the debate against her GOP challenger Yesil Vega, after deciding to join forces with a lawmaker who is pushing for parents to be sent to the clink for not affirming their children’s transgender identities.

Vega, in a statement on Sunday, stated that Spanberger pulled out of the scheduled debate, pointing out that it came immediately after she took a rather hard beating in the conservative media over her extremism when it comes to the topic of transgenderism.

According to a report from Breitbart, Vega said, “The reports of Abigail dropping out of this week’s debate are disappointing. Our campaign has been nothing but accommodating, literally agreeing to every Spanberger request without objection. Abigail is scared to answer why she supports this extreme anti-parent agenda.”

“Abigail Spanberger owes Virginia parents an answer,” she added. “Does she support throwing parents in jail for not conforming to woke culture? And when will Abigail rescind her top surrogate’s endorsement for her campaign? She campaigned with her three days before the surrogate propose radical legislation. Instead of signing up for Virginia parents, Abigail has apparently decided to run and hide until election day. Virginians deserve better.”

Seems to me Spanberger has realized she’s way too far to the left, but there’s no way to course correct so she’s running headlong into the insanity, while also trying to avoid being held accountable for her positions by her opponent in a debate.

She has no answers for tough questions, thus, a debate would leave her even more humiliated than when the conservative media took her to task for her position on transgenderism, which is negatively impacting kids all over the country.

“As Breitbart News reported, Spanberger previously campaigned with Virginia state delegate Elizabeth Guzman after she had proposed ‘felony charges for parents who do not ‘affirm’ their child’s stated gender identity,'” Breitbart said.

In other words, if you don’t become a science denier and join your child in the latest trendy delusion spreading sociologically through the nation, then you’re an evil bigot who deserves to be locked away.

“Guzman plans to introduce legislation that would change the definition of child abuse to include parents who are not willing to ‘affirm’ their child’s stated gender identity or sexual orientation. Parents who do not conform to the gender ideology would have Child Protective Services (CPS) called on them,” it stated. “On October 11, Spanberger, however, was campaigning with Guzman along with Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) in Prince William County, Virginia.”

Later, Spanberger had a chat with Breitbart and stated that she’s not in support of Guzman’s bill after saying she’s “proud to have Delegate Guzman’s support for my campaign.”

“I don’t support this legislation, and it does not have a path forward in the General Assembly. It’s unclear how this proposed legislation intends to actually help transgender children and their families, which is what we should focus on,” she remarked.

Attempting to throw someone in jail for not sharing a person’s view concerning transgenderism is a blatant violation of the First Amendment. The fact people are actually considering this course of action is proof that we as a nation are highly illiterate when it comes to the Constitution. We must change this.
