In Newson’s scary attempt to make California an abortion-friendly zone, he has taken it upon himself to ensure that his state goes against every abortion restriction upheld by Republican states.
The governor has announced that a new website to enhance abortion access will be available soon. This website will supposedly provide all necessary information about the abortion process to California residents and other women who require such information.
Newsom gleefully announced this new development in a statement on Tuesday, encouraging women who wish to get abortions to come and seek shelter in his state, adding that he is ready to fight for their rights.
He stated, “Abortion is legal, safe and accessible here in California – whether or not you live here, know that we have your back. As Republican states continue rolling back fundamental civil rights and even try to prevent people from accessing information online or crossing state lines for care, you’re welcome here in California and we’ll continue to fight like hell for you.”

In the website announcement made on Tuesday, Newson also targeted Republican-led states saying that they are the criminals for trying to control people’s reproduction and tell people what to do with their bodies. The announcement stated that While other states are making moves to “outlaw fundamental reproductive health care and criminalize doctors and patients,” Newsom was protecting such rights and will continue to do so.
Furthermore, the announcement added that the website was primarily created to help everyone who needs essential abortion information, regardless of location. The report added that information about legal rights, where to get abortions, how to pay for abortions, and even financial aid for the same purpose are all available on the website. In addition, the website helps these people to connect to abortion support groups to find emotional and wellness support.
Newsom went ahead to explain this website via a video message. In his statement, he assured the potential users of this site that their privacy is guaranteed as their personal data will not be stored.
This website features a map of the state with highlighted locations of abortion clinics in every corner of the state. Users can easily put in their location and will instantly be able to access abortion providers closest to their areas.
Newsom has also taken it upon himself to criticize Republican-led states, investing money and time in his cause. In a recent ad, he criticized DeSantis as he told Floridians that they were suffering from an attack on their freedom under DeSantis’ rule. He further urged residents of the state to turn against their governor and join hands with him to fight for their freedom.
DeSantis dismissed the desperate governor as he said, “Pass the popcorn for his desperate attempt to win back the California refugees who fled the hellhole he created in his state to come to Florida.”
The President of the California Family Council, Jonathan Keller, explained Newsom’s recent display in a simple statement. He said, “California has world-class medical facilities, saving and improving countless lives every year. But Newsom is not inviting residents of other states to come here to get care for their unborn children, only to end their lives.”
