GOP Rep. Pledges Investigations to Hold Hunter, Fauci Accountable

Appearing on Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime” and speaking with the program’s guest host, Pete Hegseth, Kentucky GOP Rep. James Comer spoke about what the House of Representatives will do to hold Hunter Biden accountable and look into what he was up to on behalf of “the Big Guy,” pledging investigations into the matter.

Comer’s comments on the subject came when Hegseth, asking him about what the Oversight Committee will be up to and where the Hunter Biden situation ranks compared to other important issues, asking:

“There’s so much for you to oversee on the Oversight Committee. Where does this rank in the priority? If you were to look at, ‘Here are the top three things we want to tackle,’ what would they be, congressman?”

Responding, Rep. Comer pledged that the “influence-peddling” of the Biden family would be looked into, noting that he and his colleagues believe that at least some of the bad decisions that Brandon and his administration have made were made because he was compromised by those he sold influence to. Speaking to Hegseth on that subject, Comer said:

“Obviously, Biden family influence-peddling because we believe this is a national security risk. We believe a lot of the bad decisions Joe Biden has made is because he’s compromised because of Hunter and his brother’s shady business dealings.”

Continuing, Rep. Comer then went on to note that Hunter Biden and the Biden Crime Family wouldn’t be the only ones held to account by the Oversight Committee, or at least dragged before it for hearings.

On that note, he said that Dr. Fauci, Dr. Collins, and the role those two played in hindering investigations into the origins of Covid-19 would be investigated by the Oversight Committee as well, as he and his colleagues do not think Dr. Fauci and Co. have so far been honest about Covid and what exactly it was that they were using research dollars to fund in China. Speaking on that, Rep. Comer said:

“We also want to get to the bottom of the origination of Covid-19. We believe that Dr. Fauci and Dr. Collins took steps to hinder investigations early on. We don’t think they’ve been honest with how they’ve spent a lot of tax dollars, especially when they went to the Wuhan lab.”

Still that wasn’t all. Moving on from Hunter, Covid, and Dr. Fauci, Rep. Comer then said that the Oversight Committee would also be looking into the disaster at the southern border and what Biden and Mayorkas might be doing that has, at the very least, exacerbated the situation, saying:

“And then the border, the debacle at the border. We already have whistleblowers that have come forward from Border Patrol that have told us specific conversations they’ve had with Mayorkas, where he is specifically telling them to stand down. So, those will be the top three investigations for the Republican Congress and the House Oversight Committee.”
